you don’t need to hold onto what isn’t serving you anymore.
memories, moments, people - anything.
if it’s weighing down your spirit. your heart. your head.
you don’t need to continue to carry it.
be thankful for the lessons. the emotions. the experiences.
acknowledge your growth and move on.
let the past be the past.
breathe. recenter. renew.
A big, bright, happy hello from the Sunshine State! Currently in the middle of my last spring break - my last structured "break" of any kind, actually. (65 days until graduation... but who's counting?) I just finished a very busy, very affirming month full of auditions, callbacks, midterms, and even a job promotion! I learned a lot and felt really proud of my work, but it's safe to say I was definitely running low on steam. I am EXTREMELY grateful to be recharging in Florida with some of my best friends.
In a previous post, I wrote about how I have a mini ritual whenever I fly. When the plane is taking off, I exhale what isn't serving me and inhale what I want to manifest. Usually it takes a little time for me to focus in, but these mantras showed up without any delay - as if they were patiently waiting for me to have a few quiet moments to myself. I was shocked at their applicability - in regards to my career, friendships, relationships, creativity, or all of the above.
(the big reveal)
I let go of comparison.
I let go of fear.
I let go of doubt.
I welcome the unknown.
I welcome joy.
I welcome love.
They're pretty universal, but they've offered me a lot to reflect on. Maybe they could do the same for you; maybe they're what you needed to hear today. Who knows! Regardless, everyone could always welcome in a little more love.
Happy spring break; sending you sunshine!
